We stayed at Otterhead House last week. 9 adults, a baby and 3 dogs. It was fabulous. The house has the wow factor. We all had a great time. Would recommend 100%

Amazing family get together here! 8 plus a baby and a dog. Plenty of space for everybody and couldn't have been better facilitated if you were in your own home! Sara was really prompt and friendly when responding to questions. Everything was so clean and well presented. The hamper of local goodies and homemade cake were such a thoughtful touch. Thank you, we'll be back!

A beautiful house for a memorable time with family. Perfect for everyone to be together and enjoy the space. Lovely little touches from the owners in a hamper and delicious lemon cake. Beautiful location and a lovely walk just across the road through the gate to a cute country pub. Definitely worth a stay and would recommend.

We had a really lovely time between Christmas and New Year. George couldn't have been more helpful and approachable. We were 3 families, 6 adults and 6 children. We arrived to the most gorgeous Hamper, Full to the brim with goodies, and the most delicious Lemon cake, which was devoured! The bedrooms were spacious, and exceptionally clean and comfy. The Cinema room was used constantly by both children, and the adults, as too was the hot tub! We took along our four legged Friend, which was so nice to be able to do. There's a handy dog walk opposite the House, which takes you around the lake and into woods, which was beautiful. Plenty of other walks in the area too. If you're going for lunch, book the beautiful Candlelight Inn. Its so pretty, and food and service was excellent. All in all, we all had a fantastic Holiday in this very beautiful house and setting. thanks George!

Thank you George & Sara for a fantastic stay at your holiday home! We rented the house 10-16 July as three families with young children under the age of 10. The house more than met the needs of all of us (from 1.5 to 51!) & we had a fabulous time. The decor is outstanding, as is the attention to detail - we loved that there were MORE than enough plates, cups, glasses & cutlery. We also loved the fact that you could request bed configurations before your visit & having 3 bathrooms/shower rooms as well as a downstairs WC was a real bonus. The beds are all super comfortable. The hot tub & sauna were both a real hit & we were lucky enough to have good weather during our stay so spent most of our time dining al fresco & enjoying the countryside views. George was super friendly & accommodating & made us feel very much at home (whilst having the comfort of knowing he was not far away should we need any assistance). We can recommend both The York Inn for it's proximity & huge portions; & the Candlelit Inn for a more gastro experience. Otter Valley Field Kitchen & Dairy is a must-visit for heavenly ice-cream. And if you fancied being pampered & cooked for, we also highly recommend The Kitchen Garden Somerset who made us the most beautiful evening meal at Otterhead House (& best of all left everything spotless). The cinema room was a HUGE hit with the children. And the adults loved the Welcome Hamper left by the thoughtful hosts. We most definitely would book again!

We spent a wonderful week at Otterhead House, celebrating our daughters 30th birthday. George was very helpful and welcoming, and the hamper that was provided for us was amazing. The hot tub and sauna were a great addition and the house itself was brilliant. We will definitely go back.

My wife and family stayed at Otterhead House for 4 nights 21st to 25th June 2021. We were welcomed by George who was very pleasant and showed us round, he did remind us of the welcome pack and asked us to respect the neighbours with noise levels. We can party as hard as anyone but when you visit such a superbly renovated property as Otterhead House in such a beautiful setting then all it takes is to respect it. We enjoyed dining on the patio, lots of hot tub use, music and even the England game all without any issues well into the evening's and past 10pm. We did this quietly I suppose because no one told us off. If your looking for a well presented property in a beautiful location then book it! We never saw George again after he welcomed us, the hot tub was maintained as is should be and we all enjoyed the tranquility of the area, just to mention there is very little phone signal unless you stand on the patio table with one leg in the air, this is part of appeal of the place. Just returned from a fantastic family holiday at Otterhead house. The house is beautiful ,has everthing you need and in a relaxing quiet location.loved watching the birds and squirrals in the garden each morning.Having a downstairs bedroom was a real plus point with an elderly mother - difficult to find rentals with this option was a god send. The hot tub and spa was used daily - weather stopped us using the fire pit area which was a real shame. Welcome pack was unexpected and a delicious special treat. George the owner is so helpful and replies to messages so quickly. Internet and phone service is hit and miss due to rural location but we all loved being off the grid for a few days just chilling. Went to dinner at the local pub Yorke Inn which is lovely wholesome homemade pub grub - pies are delicious. Would definitely recommend this house it's so special and we hope to visit again.

Wow!! Otterhead house was truly stunning, amazing and the best. George was SO helpful and always on hand for recommendations or anything to do. We went as a family group of 13 with 8 adults and 5 children and we can't think of a better house to have stayed at. All the little touches, the interior, the grounds, everything was beautiful and we were all so sad to leave. We stayed for a week and it didn't feel long enough, it was such a special time away. Thanks so much George, can't recommend Otterhead house enough. We hope to be back one day!

A group of us had a wonderful week stay at Otterhead House! I completely disagree with the review a few months ago- the host couldn’t be more helpful!! There were a few things I needed assistance with and on both occasions he gladly turned up within 5 minutes & was friendly as well as incredibly helpful. You’ll not be at a loss with these hosts and this house. The welcome hamper and cake was such a beautiful touch. We had a very relaxing break and some of that ease was made possible by the hosts. 🙂
